The sheep wool of Tibet is a heterogeneous wool type and is one of China's major coarse wool varieties. It is mainly distributed in Tibet, Qinghai, southern Gansu, and northwestern Sichuan. The length of Tibetan wool fleece (18 to 20 cm), which is elastic and shiny, is a good raw material for weaving plush and carpets.
Grassland-type Tibetan wool has been used as a distributing center for Xining City in Qinghai Province for many years. It is also known as Xining Hair and has a high reputation in the international carpet fur market. Xining Mao is a world-renowned carpet with excellent hair, fiber length, glossy enough, good elasticity, soft and durable texture, simple, rough, generous composition. After being trampled by people, the bolls immediately rebound and return to their original state without collapse. The feel is loose, and the color and elasticity have strong persistence. The longer the age of use, the brighter the luster will not give a sense of oldness.
